Vanguard AML
An API-first anti-money-laundering layer for Alberta's iGaming operators. Identity verification, sanctions and PEP screening, real-time monitoring with explainable alerts, a case workbench, and automatic staging of FINTRAC reports against their deadlines.

The problem
Alberta's iGaming market opened in 2026 and every operator needs a compliant AML program. Bank-grade suites do not model casino reports or iGaming patterns, and casino-focused tools are priced for large enterprises.
What we built
- 01Identity verification, self-exclusion checks, and scheduled screening
- 02Real-time transaction monitoring with tunable, backtested rules
- 03A case and enhanced due diligence workbench for investigators
- 04Automatic staging of every FINTRAC report type with deadlines
- 05A platform console to run the service across operators
Engineering decisions
Every alert explains itself
Each alert and score change stores the reason it fired, so an analyst can defend the decision.
Built to a latency budget
The rules engine is designed for a p99 under 35 ms on the ingest path.
People file, software prepares
Reports are staged automatically and filed only after human review.
